This job was a full site project work for a new Dollar General Store in Toms Brook Virginia. As with any new store there are many contributors leading to the completion of a successful project and we were excited to work with everyone involved.
Site Work for Dollar General in Toms Brook Virginia Overview.
This project in Toms Brook Virginia, started back in september of 2015 with general demolition and site clearing. The project was delayed due to the massive amounts of rock excavation persisting down to subgrades. Explosives were not allowed so 15000 pound hammers were brought in to perform this work. After the achieval of subgrade a large retaining wall was installed and building pad was put in place. Two storm detention systems were also installed to meet VDOT standards for post flow storm runoff, I’ve included photos below showing the storm detention installation.
Following the storm detention systems, site sewer, electrical, and water was installed to the building. At this point asphalt and concrete stone is placed and compacted to pass compaction standards before site concrete and site asphalt is installed. Finally topsoil is placed and spread and road /parking striping is installed. If you’re in the area we encourage you to stop by and take a look at the new Dollar General in Toms Brook Virginia.
